The sequel to the hit World War Z game

World War Z: Aftermath is a premium action game for PC by Saber Interactive Inc. It is the sequel to the popular zombie shooter title, World War Z. Players can expect more of the same fast-paced co-op action against hordes of the undead that fans loved from the original.

As a follow-up to World War Z, World War Z: Aftermath will feature new locations and maps across Rome, as well as an option to change perspectives while playing. It also comes with cross-play that allows players from PCs and consoles to team up and fight the undead.

Take the city back

World War Z is a popular third-person co-op zombie shooter that garnered success and developed a solid fan base for itself since it first debuted. It was based on a novel that also received a film adaptation, which is set in the same universe. Players and reviewers alike praised its solid shooting mechanics, nice visuals, and story-driven missions. World War Z: Aftermath is its highly anticipated sequel.

The sequel will take you to Rome, with new locations and areas to explore as you take back the Vatican City from the undead and join forces with survivors from the Russian peninsula of Kamchatka. Choose from eight-character classes and take part in new story missions with various weapons and a new melee system for more brutal and in-your-face combat action.

Other notable additions include a First-Person Mode for more immersive gameplay, as well as the Horde Mode XL which cranks up the zombie count for more challenge. Things that need to be addressed are the "brain dead" AI teammate behavior, the lack of cross-play voice chat, and some server and connectivity issues that players are experiencing across both PCs and consoles.

A good sequel

If you liked the first World War Z game, there is plenty to like with its sequel. World War Z: Aftermath takes you to a new location and offers more story missions to play and experience. You get various character classes to choose from based on your playstyle, and the new first-person mode provides a unique and different experience. A good sequel overall.
